Kate Kaufman is the Director of Account Management for Uber Freight where she leads a team in championing the voice of the customer in everything we do. Kate has a diverse background in Transportation, Analytics, Finance and Technology holding positions in with various fortune 500 companies such as Amazon, Sprint, RR Donnelley and CH Robinson. Kate recently joined the Uber Freight team after successfully launching Brokerage transportation divisions at both RR Donnelley and Amazon, building the teams, products and algorithms used to match transportation supply and demand in today’s fragmented marketplace. Kate is a graduate of the University of Kansas twice over receiving both her bachelors and MBA degrees, and is currently in the process of completing a second Masters in Predictive Analytics with Northwestern University in Chicago. A self proclaimed operational data nerd, Kate’s passion for analytics and operational excellence fuels her passion to bring ultimate transparency and fluidity to the transportation marketplace. Jim Becker is the CEO of Becker Logistics, LLC.  Jim Becker entered the logistic world in 1991 and in 1997 from his kitchen table, Jim started what we fondly know today as Becker Logistics.  He built the company on the founding core values of: Integrity, Quality, Innovation, Safety, Competitiveness, Openness, Respect, and Equal Work Life Balance.  These foundational values combined with his leadership and industry expertise, have allowed Jim to author a great story of mind-blowing growth in Becker Logistics; growing the company 10 times (1000%) since 2013.  Along the way, he has learned to focus on the journey of life rather than solely on whatever goal or endpoint may serve as a destination. He has realized his passion to help the people he encounters to become a better version of themselves—to help them live life without regrets, to feel empowered, and to act with confidence.  Jim is very involved within the logistics community.  He sits on the Executive Advisory Council for McLeod Software and has spoken at McLeod’s Users conference on growing a company with sales and looking at how to scale operations along with the importance of customer service within our industry.  Jim is on the Board along with being on the Education Committee, and past chairman of the hazmat committee of Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA).  He is also currently on the Mentor/Mentee committee. Scott W. Luton is the founder of Supply Chain Now Radio. He has worked extensively in the end-to-end Supply Chain industry for more than 15 years, appearing in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Dice and Quality Progress Magazine. Scott currently serves as Executive Vice President of APICS Atlanta and was recently named a 2019 Pro to Know in Supply Chain by Supply & Demand Executive. He founded the 2019 Atlanta Supply Chain Awards and also served on the 2018 Georgia Logistics Summit Executive Committee. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and holds the APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) credential. A Veteran of the United States Air Force, Scott volunteers on the Business Pillar for VETLANTA and serves on the advisory board for the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance.
